Not New York.
I first moved to “Manhappiness” in 2005 to go to Kansas State University. This little town is unassuming, but has a magnetism that I never expected.
After my year in France, I couldn’t wait to come back to finish college.
After my year as a missionary, I moved back with no job and no place to live, just because I knew I had to be here. (And, of course, there ended up being a place for me.)
I spend a lot of time (and probably wrote most of my posts) at Bluestem Bistro. Many of my friendships were grown here, many dates with Kyle happened here, and we got engaged on the porch here. This town and this coffee shop are havens of comfort and belonging. It is a good place to leave, because it is so easy to come back.
There will always be something here for me.
